Peter Opsvik was born in Norway, March, 25th, 1939 in Møre og (and) Romsdal. Peter is an Norwegian indusrial designer and he's best know for his ergonomic chairs.
The Trip Trap chair, which was created in 1972 by Peter which is ages ago, is still yet popular today. At that time, nobody had seen anything like the Trip Trap chair. The chair was so unique and functional, and nearly 40 years later the chair is still unique: The only child chair that can follow you from infant to adult, and it's safe and comfortable all the way,
Peter Opsvik was inspired by Tor Opsvik which was his own son. He was struggling to find a good sitting position at the dining table. Tor had outgrown from his old chair, but was still to young/small to sit on a normal one. His feet were dangling and he was striving to reach up for the table. The Trip Trap can be placed in different heights so that a child can sit on it with the right height for the table and feet. Since both plates of the chair is adjustable, you can adjust it was the child grows.
